New to the area? Come discover your new church home!

We want you to feel welcome and comfortable during your first visit on Sunday, so we've attempted to answer a few common questions. Here's what you can expect on Saturdays and Sundays.

WHAT KIND OF CHURCH ARE YOU?

We’re a Lutheran church. That means we believe in the Bible as God’s Word, in Jesus as the only true Savior of all the world’s sinners, and in the gracious work of God through baptism and the Lord’s supper. Find out more about our beliefs.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

On Dobson Road between Ray and Warner in Chandler (1 mile East of the 101)

WHERE SHOULD I GO?

Our front doors face the parking lot instead of the street. After parking in the parking lot, head to the main church doors under the big patio.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

There is no dress code at Calvary. You’ll see some people dressed in jeans and a polo, and others will be dressed in their Sunday best. God isn’t that interested in what we wear. Come as you are!

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING THE WORSHIP SERVICE?

Our services are generally a little over an hour. During the service, you’ll hear a 15-20 minute sermon. The message is always based on the Bible, makes sense, and makes a difference in daily life.

Oh, and we love to sing at Calvary! Using organ, piano, trumpet, violin and a little ensemble we give praise to our God through our music! Hang around after the service for refreshments and get to know us.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS? WILL THEY ATTEND WORSHIP WITH ME?

We love having children in the services. May we suggest: Quietly explain the worship service as it takes place. Share with your children the “why” of what they are hearing. Sing the hymns, pray the prayers, and verbalize your responses within the liturgy. Children learn behavior by mimicking you. And remember, if you need to leave the sanctuary with your child during service, need to change a diaper, or would prefer to nurse privately, a room is located just outside of the sanctuary. But please come back, for Jesus said, ”Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14.
